People buy workflows, not feature lists
A list of features doesn't tell you how a product fits into your day. Here's how Oden thinks about workflow first.
People buy workflows, not feature lists
Most software websites list features. "Calendar." "Invoicing." "Client management." "Notes." As if those words, by themselves, tell you anything useful.
They don't.
What you actually want to know
When you're evaluating software, you don't want a feature list. You want to know: does this fit into how I actually work? Will it make my day easier, or will it add another tool I have to maintain?
That's why Oden is designed around a workflow — the actual sequence of work that happens in a pet business — not around a feature checklist.
The workflow
Here's how work actually happens in a behavior or training practice:
- A client books an appointment.
- They sign a waiver.
- You run an assessment.
- You build a training plan.
- You run sessions against that plan.
- You track progress against milestones.
- You assign homework between sessions.
- You send an invoice.
- A happy owner refers another owner.
Every one of these steps exists in Oden. And — critically — they're connected. A booking creates a session. A session writes to a plan. A plan generates progress. Progress triggers homework. An invoice follows a session. A referral follows a satisfied owner.
Why this matters
When the workflow is connected, the busywork disappears. You're not managing five tools. You're running one calm, intelligent system that knows what comes next.
That's the difference between software that helps and software that just adds to the noise.
